At the same time as the opening of markets and the controlled reforms of Deng Xiaoping, who took over the leadership of China after the death of Mao Zedong:Agricultural reforms (1979–1982) Special Economic Zones (coastal) (1979–1980) Urban and industrial reforms (1984) and everything that followed in the next half century of development.What do you think this cooperation included? Under whose “blessings” and high-level supervision did it bear fruit?It was the time when Western multinational corporations had discovered the “New Eldorado”, moving their production lines to China and stamping on their expensive shoes the citizens of the countries in which they grew — the citizens of the West — with the blessings of the political elite: Democrats and Republicans in the USA, Christian-Democrat conservatives and “socialists” in the EU. Political elites that fully adopted the economic and social agenda that the tycoons and their foundations wanted and promoted.Yet, in the frenzy of super-profits and the simultaneous attack on their own societies in the West through the ideologies of neoliberalism and globalization, and through the administrative and legal practice of deregulation (the abolition of laws that limited the uncontrolled activity of multinationals), something… escaped them. It was the era when Reagan and Thatcher triumphed.They thought everyone believed in only one God: the dollar. They could not — and did not want to — see the plan that existed and was simmering beneath the surface. They could not — and did not want to — see the nationalism that drove this opening to Western companies so they could exploit their technological and productive advantage. They did not want to interrupt the uncontrolled and tax-free flows of the dollar.So they saw the bait. Selectively, they refused to see the trap.Decades passed with a lot of hard work and many achievements, so that today we speak of the “Chinese Miracle”, the return of Russia as a superpower, Iran’s ability to set limits for the USA and Israel in the Middle East, the geopolitical bypassing of Europe, the multipolar world — or whatever finally emerges from this historic revision and redistribution of global power factors. Because I believe no one can yet fully grasp what is being created.Whether it will be a multipolar world, or in the first phase “different parallel worlds” that will inevitably compete with each other.While the USA and the EU remain trapped in the Middle East and Ukraine, China is developing social cohesion, state infrastructure, productive capabilities and their organization, technology, and mass production with the integration of technology and organization that drastically reduces costs — while at the same time limiting the corrosive influence of native “billionaires”, so that Chinese society and the Chinese state do not suffer the same fate of being corroded by greedy giants.Trapped in their own bad past, the USA and the EU are once again losing time — if any possibility of deterrence still exists.
