Eftichia Papagiannopoulou – a Greek cultural figure transcending time!

 

Congratulations to Tanweer Productions on yet another great success and congratulations to the cast, the director, the technicians, the distributors, the copyright holders and so many others whose contribution helped complete this amazing production of Eftihia.

Eftichia, broadcast on TV during prime time hours “competed” against the productions of "Greek" (!) BIG BROTHER and THE BACHELOR and came first.

The ratings showed that one to three viewers of the general public watched Eftihia: Eftychia received 30.5%, The Bachelor followed at  22.1% and Big Brother came last at 19%. In addition, with the so-called ‘dynamic audience’ numbers reflected the same:   Eftichia came first at a 29.6% rating, The Bachelor at a 24.2% and Big Brother at 20.4%!

This success is proof that when TV viewers are given the opportunity, they can and will make quality choices.

Congratulations are due to the winning team for yet another reason, that, through their success they prove the concept that the masses prefer garbage to be totally erroneous. This is a useful tip for “ professionals” of the field, professionals who often use this argument as an excuse to produce and serve trash TV.

It has been a great joy that our office has been honoured to be the legal representative of the copyright holder of the book ‘My Grandmother Eftihia -  Our Great Lyricist, Eftihia Papagiannopoulou’ a book narrating the artist’s life  through the eyes of her granddaughter, Rea Maneli ’. The film "Eftichia" was based on the narration of this book.
